Games That Pays Through Gcash
Posted By admin On 13/04/22Mistplay pays out a little above average, and I admire the platform for being both developer- and user-friendly. First, to benefit developers who test their games through Mistplay, the app accelerates cash earnings the longer you test a game, so you’re incentivized to play longer and provide better feedback to its creators. Every week, users can join the GCash Mobile Game Tournament through the GCash app for as low as Php15 to Php50, or even for free, and get the chance to win prizes for setting the high score for games of their choice. Anyone with a registered GCash account can play multiple tournament games plus new featured games to be introduced every week.

Games That Pays Through Gcash Online
Steam is such a popular platform for gaming and is popular for Summer and Christmas sales. Now that it’s quarantine season, a lot of gamers are understandably into their PCs and consoles more. And to capitalize on the topic of anything GCash, I went on to research on how to buy Steam games using this method of payment.
Anyway, it is also a perfect opportunity to prepare for this coming Summer Sale 2020 (June last week to July first week). The good thing is we do not need to have a credit card to be able to buy.
Setting up GCash Mastercard / AMEX Virtual Pay
This is relevant if you want to pay using the GCash debit cards. However, this isn’t mandatory as there are other ways to pay if you wish.
Legit Games That Pay Through Gcash
How can I pay using GCash via debit card?
You can either use your enrolled GCash Mastercard or your Virtual AMEX card from within the GCash app itself.
How do I apply for a GCash Mastercard? How do I pay using GCash Mastercard?
You basically need to buy a GCash Mastercard and link it into your GCash app. Once you have your card linked, you can use it as a debit card for payment.
How do I set up my Virtual Pay AMEX Card? How do I generate a CVV?
You will need an email address to be able to apply for an AMEX Virtual Card from within the GCash app. The AMEX card is used for online purchases only and does not have a physical card counterpart.
What do I do if I get an error linking my AMEX Card?
Sometimes issues like this do happen when linking. This is more often than not a technical issue at the backend. We can wait and try again or if not, use our GCash Mastercard.
How do I put funds into my GCash account?
As the AMEX VP and GCash MC are both in fact, debit cards, you will need funds in your GCash wallet to be able to pay. You have lots of different options in cashing in, and you can also bank transfers (from any bank app to G-XChange, Inc. via Instapay) to fund your wallet.
Steam Direct
What’s the main advantage of buying directly from Steam?
You get to spend your money directly and not go through middlemen, which makes it cheaper.
How do I buy directly from Steam using GCash?
You can buy using your GCash Mastercard as a payment option. Unfortunately, Steam does not support AMEX cards so we also cannot use the AMEX Virtual Pay card for this.
Once your card is linked, you will be charged a test transaction, so make sure you have some funds in your GCash wallet. Don’t worry, it will refund the amounts after the test.
What if I don’t have GCash Mastercard?
Since this is a debit card transaction, if you do not currently have a GCash Mastercard, there is a workaround for this, and it involves a Paymaya account. Paymaya has a Mastercard/Visa virtual card counterpart for the AMEX Virtual card of GCash. You can get one once you’ve registered with Paymaya.
If you have a Smart number linked to your Paymaya account you will be able to generate a Mastercard virtual card. Otherwise, you will get a Visa one. In any case, you can link that card to your Steam account.
But how to I fund my Paymaya account using my GCash one?
You can send funds to Paymaya via the Bank Transfer function in the GCash app.
Steam via Gift Codes
We can also go through the indirect route, through Gift Codes. Truthfully, there are a lot of resellers in the net, and not all are reputable. I’ve listed here some trusted resellers and you can choose which reseller you want to buy from.
How do I redeem a Gift Code?
You need to input the code within the Steam app itself. Your Steam wallet will automatically reflect the amount from the gift code.
How do I buy Gift Codes using GCash Buy Load?
You can buy from within GCash itself, using the Buy Load feature. But keep in mind though that they sell the codes at a 20% premium.
How do I buy Gift Codes using Coins.ph?
Coins.ph actually sell it 1:1, meaning there’s no extra fee included. However, the minimum amount they are selling is Php 800.
Games That Pay Thru Gcash
For more details, you can also refer to their FAQ. If you need to fund your Coins.ph wallet, you can do so via the Bank Transfer function in the GCash app.
How do I buy Gift Codes using Paymaya?
You can also buy gaming pins from the Paymaya app. However, they sell it at a 30% premium. You can send money from GCash.
How do I buy Gift Codes using Codashop?
Another option is Codashop. They also sell at 30%. But they have a direct payment integration to GCash so it simplifies payment as you don’t need to transfer funds.
How do I buy Gift Codes using Unipin?
You can also try this route. However, I do not recommend this as this is the most expensive option. They sell at a 60% premium, not to mention they also go through a payment gateway (Dragonpay) which means it has a Php 10 convenience fee.
Summary
As a comparison, I also included many channels to be able to fund your Steam Wallet.
The first is via buying direct from Steam, which is the cheapest option as well. But you will need a GCash Mastercard as Steam doesn’t support AMEX cards. As a workaround, you can link your Paymaya virtual card as it is a Mastercard/Visa card, and fund your Paymaya using your GCash funds via Bank Transfer.
The second option is by buying Steam Codes from different sources, but they usually come with a premium. Coins.ph has an impressive 1:1 pricing for gaming loads, however, for Steam, the minimum amount you can buy is Php 800. GCash Buy Load is a secondary option with a 20% premium. Paymaya and Codashop have a 30% higher premium. Lastly, Unipin sells 60% higher with a Php 10 Dragonpay transaction fee.

As quarantine has become the norm all over the world, doing recreational activities like cooking or baking, playing Nintendo Switch, or watching Netflix at home has become the activity of choice for most people.
Coincidentally, GCash minimum active user numbers have also skyrocketed during this quarantine. This is due to the fact that it is easier to do bills payments and other transactions using the app since it also promotes the cashless lifestyle. As such, why not then use GCash to pay for your Nintendo eShop purchases?
Paying within the Nintendo platform is easy, as they mainly have three methods of payment — Credit Card, eShop card, or Paypal.
Setting up GCash Mastercard
You may be wondering why AMEX is not in here. Nintendo only supports Mastercard and Visa credit/debit cards only at the moment.
How can I pay using GCash?
You can use your enrolled GCash Mastercard.
How do I apply for a GCash Mastercard? How do I pay using GCash Mastercard?
You basically need to buy a GCash Mastercard and link it into your GCash app. Once you have your card linked, you can use it as a debit card for payment.

Setting up Payment Methods in your Nintendo Account
Linking GCash Mastercard to your Nintendo Account
Here are the steps to link your GCash Mastercard to your Nintendo account:
- Go to your Account Information page.
- Under Credit-card information, click on Set.
- Enter your credit card details; under Zip code, put any 5 digit number.
- Click Save to confirm.
Linking your Paypal to your Nintendo Account
You can also link a Paypal account to top up your funds. We can also link our GCash debit cards with Paypal. Take note though that they may charge you for international transactions when you go through with Paypal.
Here are the steps:
- Go to your Account Information page.
- Under Paypal Account, click on Set.
- Click on Link a Paypal account button.
- Enter your Paypal account login information, you will then see the confirmation page.
Buying an eShop card online
You can also use an eShop card as payment. You can buy these prepaid cards from:
- GCash Buy Load (under Gaming, Razer Gold PINs)
- Coins.ph (via Razer Gold PIN purchase)
- Razer Gold (either via Razer Gold PINs or outright purchase)
You can also buy from third party marketplaces like Lazada, Shopee and Carousell. But be careful as there are also scams proliferating in those marketplaces.
Take note that buying eShop cards are more expensive in general. Prepare to pay Php 50-Php250 more when buying from third parties.
Adding funds to your Nintendo Account
A Nintendo account has an internal wallet with their account, and you can top-up your funds using three ways I described above — via credit/debit card, Paypal or an eShop card.
Here are the steps:
- From the Account Information page, click on Add Funds.
- From the Add Funds page, select your method of payment (either Credit Card, Nintendo eShop card or Paypal)
- Select an amount to be added. Press Confirm.
- If you selected Nintendo eShop card, you will need to input the card number. Otherwise you can confirm your debit/credit card or Paypal purchases.
- In the confirmation page, check the amount to be added and press Confirm.
- You will see the success page and your added amount will also be reflected in the Account Information page.
Buying from Other Regions
You can also change regions anytime and buy from the eShop in that specific region. This is useful for taking advantage of discounts, DLCs, or offers that are only in that region.
Prerequisites and Recommedations
- Your current funds in your Nintendo wallet needs to be zero. This is because when you change regions, your fund wallet changes to accommodate the currency in that region. For example, in the Japanese region, your fund wallet is in Japanese Yen.
- It is recommended you create a Nintendo account for that specific region to avoid changing the country of your main account every time you need to visit your regional eShop. This would also circumvent the zero fund requirement above. However, you can also change your country in your account details if you wish.
- It would be better if you know the layout of your Account Information page as the language will be changed depending on the region. So for example, if your region is Japan, the language will be in Japanese. You may have trouble if you don’t know Japanese.
- It is better that you use a payment method that has no foreign transaction fees. I recommend you use GCash Mastercard because there are no fees included.
How do I change regions?
Here are the steps:
- In your Nintendo Switch, click on System Settings.
- Click on System, and select Region.
- Japan
- The Americas
- Europe
- Australia / New Zealand
- Hong Kong / Taiwan / South Korea
- You need to agree with the License Agreement.
- Your Switch will be rebooting and once rebooted you will be transferred to the region you chose.
- Choose the account you’ve set with that region.
How many times can I change regions?
For both account and console, there are currently no limits to changing the region.
Can I still play all my games even if I’m in a different region?
Yes, this is the beauty of having a Switch, all games are region-free. That said, there are some games that have a DLC that will only work with a specific region, so you may need to do your homework beforehand before you buy a game from a specific region.
Summary
I talked about how you can link your GCash Mastercard in your Nintendo Switch. You can add funds to your account wallet using this method. You can also use the other methods like eShop cards and Paypal to top-up.
I also discussed a way to be able to buy games from other regions. You can change your account and console region without any limits.
